Privacy Policy

National Disability Support Coordination Pty Ltd is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What information we collect

We collect the information we need to deliver safe, high quality supports. This can include your name and contact details, date of birth, NDIS number and plan details, information about your disability and support needs, health information relevant to your care, and records of the supports we deliver. For job applicants, we collect the details you provide in your application, including your resume and screening check status.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Deliver and coordinate the supports you have asked for.
  • Communicate with you, your family or your nominee.
  • Meet our obligations under the NDIS Practice Standards and other laws.
  • Assess job applications and manage recruitment.
  • Improve our services, using de-identified information where possible.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing without your consent.

How we store and protect your information

Your information is stored in secure systems with access limited to staff who need it for their role. We use password protection, access controls and secure backups, and we train our staff in privacy and confidentiality. Paper records, where they exist, are kept in locked storage. We keep records for as long as the law requires, then destroy or de-identify them securely.

Who we may share your information with

With your consent, we may share relevant information with other service providers involved in your care, such as support workers, allied health professionals, nurses, plan managers or your GP. We may also share information where the law requires it, for example reporting a reportable incident to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, or where there is a serious and immediate risk to someone's safety.

How you can access or correct your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct anything that is wrong or out of date. Contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. If we cannot give you access, we will explain why in writing.

How to make a privacy complaint

If you believe we have mishandled your information, contact us first and we will investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner on 1300 363 992.
